Safety Specialist - General Compliance Cottage Grove, WI - On-Site Shared Medical Services is an employee-owned mobile medical imaging company , delivering high-quality imaging services directly to communities through a nationwide fleet. The Role The Safety Specialist General Compliance supports DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company safety programs. This role focuses on fleet compliance, driver safety, incident response, training, and regulatory reporting while serving as a key safety resource across the organization.

Requirements

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
DOT/FMCSA and OSHA compliance experience with CMV fleets
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and be on-call as needed
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Class A CDL (or ability to obtain within 24 months)
First Aid/CPR/AED (or ability to obtain within 6 months)

Responsibilities

Ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance (DQ files, HOS, DVIRs, MVRs, inspections)
Manage ELD and in-vehicle camera systems
Lead vehicle incident reporting, investigations, and corrective training
Support DOT & Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing programs
Conduct and support new driver and ongoing safety training
Support fleet programs, claims management, OSHA compliance, and safety audits
