About The Position
The Safety Specialist supports specific project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and enhances a culture of safety. This role involves overseeing all parts of commercial construction projects to ensure they follow OSHA rules, holding daily safety meetings, completing accident reports, conducting accident investigations, ensuring all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE), and performing daily safety audits and inspections, including inspecting power tools and heavy equipment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of construction safety experience
- OSHA 30 hour in Construction certification required
- First Aid/CPR certified
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards
- Experience in Excavation
- Excellent verbal and written skills
