About The Position

Lemberg Electric is seeking a Safety Specialist to join their growing team. In this role, you will partner with the Senior Safety Specialist to ensure employees work safely and injury-free. The position primarily involves visiting job sites, conducting safety audits, leading trainings, and collaborating with teams to promote a strong safety culture. Lemberg Electric is one of Southeastern Wisconsin's largest employee-owned electrical contractors, recognized for quality, safety, and service. They have contributed to iconic projects such as the Milwaukee Art Museum and Harley-Davidson facilities, and their teams are dedicated to problem-solving and community-shaping projects.

Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Health & Safety (or 5 years related experience with a High School diploma).
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Workers Compensation, and claims management.
  • Ability to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Strong communication skills-both written and verbal; comfortable presenting to groups.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 500 Trainer Certification (or ability to complete within 3 years).
  • Experience in a construction-related field.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and document safety audits across jobsites and facilities.
  • Support the development and management of company safety programs.
  • Lead safety trainings, orientations, and toolbox talks.
  • Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance to employees, managers, and subcontractors on safety issues.
  • Collaborate with HR on injury/incident case management.
  • Maintain accurate records of training, incidents, and safety tracking.
  • Represent Lemberg on safety matters with clients, managers, and industry groups.
  • Stay current with OSHA and industry regulations; attend trainings and conferences.
