About The Position
HazTek is hiring an experienced Safety Specialist in Kansas City, Missouri, to support commercial construction projects. The role oversees project safety and OSHA compliance, promotes a workplace safety culture, and helps ensure workers return home safely. The position is local only; no travel, per diem, or relocation is offered for this opportunity.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience.
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards.
- Experience in Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.

Nice To Haves
- Data center or mission-critical experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee safety aspects of commercial construction projects and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Conduct daily safety meetings.
- Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations.
- Ensure all personnel wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct daily safety audits and inspections.
- Inspect power tools and heavy equipment.
