Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Deep understanding of local and federal regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills to communicate with staff and report to leadership.
  • Ability to walk long distances on hard warehouse floors.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in warehouse operations and material handling safety is a plus.
  • Previous compliance (Safety or U.S. CBP-related) experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Check forklifts, racking systems, loading docks, and conveyor belts regularly.
  • Enforce safe lifting techniques, proper hazardous material storage, and clear foot-traffic lanes.
  • Teach employees proper forklift operation, emergency evacuation procedures, and the correct use of safety gear.
  • Analyze warehouse accidents, equipment failures, and slips and falls to identify root causes.
  • Ensure full compliance with warehouse-specific regulations, including OSHA storage and logistics standards.
  • Manage security checkpoints, verify employee credentials, and maintain visitor logs.
