This position is responsible for inspecting, auditing, training and filing workers' compensation claims in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations. The role involves evaluating the workplace for hazards, generating job hazard assessments, inspecting and auditing worksites and practices for regulatory adherence, and coordinating safety training for employees, including those in remote locations. The specialist will also investigate near misses and accidents to identify root causes and recommend preventative measures, maintain incident databases, safety report metrics, and OSHA 300 Logs. Additionally, the position supports workers' compensation case management by collaborating with employees, managers, and carriers to achieve the best possible outcomes, minimizing modified or lost work days.
