Requirements

  • 2 - 5 years Prior Claims Management experience
  • At least (1) year of prior supervisory experience
  • Ability to work accurately, efficiently, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Committed adherence and enforcement of the company’s core values and core purpose.
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Reliable and punctual attendance
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and group presentation skills
  • Ability to fluently speak, read, and write in the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of applicable Federal, State and Local regulations (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, EPA, DOT).
  • Risk assessment and project management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates safety programs that protect team members and support safe working conditions.
  • Manages key risk-prevention activities, including workers' compensation and general liability claims, fleet vehicle management systems, federal OSHA logs, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management, Wrench reporting, and Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) maintenance.
  • Works efficiently, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, manages multiple priorities, stays organized, and performs effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Owns full-cycle workers' compensation and general liability claims management, from initial reporting and follow-up through timely closure.
  • Manages SDS documentation, OSHA reporting, fleet vehicle monitoring and management, Wrench reporting, and IIPP maintenance.
  • Provides guidance, support, and training to supervisors and directors regarding safety compliance.
  • Monitors safety policies and activities with company goals and team member safety in mind.
  • Identifies trends in injury data and recommends areas for further safety training.
  • Tracks safety training records and supports compliance with safety program standards.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • Conducts safety and health walk-through inspections of workplace facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and support compliance.
  • Advises managers and team members on safety concerns, corrective recommendations, and the interpretation of policies, programs, procedures, and best practices.
  • Identifies opportunities for risk prevention and continuous safety improvement.
  • Conducts new-hire orientation safety training; prepares and maintains training materials, including relevant work processes and OSHA compliance content; and maintains the new-hire safety training calendar.
  • Owns the Safety Alert process used to inform leadership and Wrench partners of accidents and incidents.
  • Helps ensure each new hire has the safety equipment needed to perform assigned work with minimized risk of injury.
  • Manages the SDS program and supports documentation, application, and compliance of the IIPP.
  • Models professional and safe conduct, and promptly addresses safety concerns with team members or their supervisors when necessary.
  • Stays current on relevant health and safety developments and communicates applicable updates to the leadership team for implementation.
