About The Position

The Safety, Security & Transportation Manager supervises the day-to-day operations of the Safety, Security and Transportation department to provide maximum safety and security for students, staff, center property and the surrounding community. This role evaluates staff performance, provides staff training, and implements departmental personnel changes as approved by the Center Director. The manager is responsible for developing and monitoring staff schedules for 24-hour, 7-day a week coverage, and for developing and maintaining the Center Safety Plan, and Emergency and Disaster Plan (including a weather-related Evacuation Plan). They also conduct the yearly risk assessment survey and establish and communicate safety, security, and fire prevention policies with pertinent center and DOL regulations to students and staff. Additionally, the manager serves as the center’s representative, maintaining an effective liaison with law enforcement agencies in the community, and is responsible for monitoring all center facilities to ensure compliance with OSHA Standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, police science or related field preferred.
Three to five year’s work-related experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
