About The Position

The Safety & Security Supervisor is responsible for patrolling the property, securing rooms, and assisting guests with room access. This role involves conducting emergency response drills, safety inspections, investigations, and audits. The supervisor will monitor CCTV and alarm systems, authorize and document access to secured areas, and assist guests and employees during emergencies. Responsibilities include responding to accidents, administering first aid/CPR, gathering information, completing reports, and maintaining confidentiality. The supervisor will also handle disturbances, resolve safety hazards, manage interruptions and complaints, and escort unwelcome individuals from the property. Ensuring compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws and using proper code responses are key duties. Additionally, the role involves assisting management with training, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model, and upholding the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy. The supervisor must follow company policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, complete safety training, maintain a professional appearance, protect company assets, and provide excellent guest service. This includes welcoming guests, anticipating needs, and communicating professionally both verbally and in writing. Developing positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and responding appropriately to employee concerns are also important. The role requires adherence to quality standards and may involve additional state-specific licensing requirements. Specific tasks include reading and visually verifying information, inspecting equipment, using computers and point-of-sale systems, moving at a speed required for work situations, and standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Physical demands include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects (up to 50 lbs without assistance, over 75 lbs with assistance), manipulating objects with fine motor skills, moving through confined or elevated spaces, and traversing various surfaces and stairs. The supervisor must also reach overhead and below the knees, performing bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping motions. Other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors are also part of the role.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 2 years of related work experience
At least 1 year of supervisory experience
Some states may have additional licensing/registration requirements to be considered for this position

Responsibilities

Patrol all areas of the property
Secure rooms
Assist guests with room access
Conduct emergency response drills
Conduct daily physical hazard/safety inspections
Conduct investigations

Conduct key control audit
Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions and alarm systems
Authorize, monitor, and document access to secured areas
Assist guests/employees during emergency situations
Respond to accidents
Contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required
Gather information and complete reports
Maintain confidentiality of reports/documents
Release information to authorized individuals
Defuse disturbances in accordance with company policies and procedures
Resolve safety hazard situations
Handle all interruptions and complaints
Escort unwelcome persons from the property
Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws
Call for assistance using proper code responses
Provide proper paperwork to employees
Assist management in training, motivating and coaching employees
Serve as a role model
Serve as first point of contact of the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process
Follow all company policies and procedures
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
Complete safety training and certifications
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Protect company assets
