About The Position

Doyle Security Services (DSS) is seeking a dependable, observant, and safety-conscious Safety Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, contractors, and clients. The Safety Officer will monitor the premises, identify potential safety hazards, enforce established safety procedures, and respond appropriately to emergencies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a professional and safe workplace.

The schedule is 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., with days varying. Pay is up to $22.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to recognize potential hazards and respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies.
• Ability to prepare clear, accurate written reports.
• Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with employees, visitors, and management.
• Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods, as required by the assignment.
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures and supervisory direction.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Military or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Previous experience in safety, security, loss prevention, facilities, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and patrols to identify potential safety hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Monitor assigned areas to ensure compliance with established safety policies and procedures.
• Identify, report, and document accidents, incidents, hazards, and safety violations.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with emergency services, management, and other designated personnel as necessary.
• Assist with emergency evacuation procedures, drills, and other safety-related activities.
• Maintain accurate incident reports, inspection records, and daily activity logs.
• Ensure that emergency exits, fire extinguishers, alarm systems, and other safety equipment remain accessible and unobstructed.
• Communicate safety concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor or client representative.
• Promote awareness of workplace safety practices and encourage compliance with applicable procedures.
• Perform other safety-related duties as assigned.
