Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience in the Occupational Health and Safety profession in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Investigation skills to determine root cause and conduct trend analysis of incidents.
- Knowledge of governmental/agency regulatory requirements or legislation, occupational health principles, occupational safety programs and ergonomic principles, with the ability to apply to workplace environments.
- Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Understanding of occupational health, safety, industrial hygiene, and ergonomic principles.
- Knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 25%.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of warehouse operations & manufacturing processes.
- Team leadership experience in a collaborative working environment.
- Proven history of delivering sustainable safety improvements.
- Experience working with collective bargaining units.
- Masters degree in a Science or Business Administration discipline.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare strategic and tactical plans as required to meet company goals around compliance and injury reduction.
- Analyze appropriate health and safety metrics to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Establish and manage processes for periodic inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective action assurance.
- Lead a team of safety, ergonomic and occupational health professionals.
