About The Position

The position of Safety Manager will be assisting the Divisional Safety Manger in the plant location and will be the local representative of the safety department.

Requirements

• College degree in manufacturing, engineering, logistics or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a variety of manufacturing areas (production, logistics).
• 3-5 years’ experience in Safety management or mfg/corrugated leadership preferred.
• Competent with MS Office.
• Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate.
• Able to apply concepts of high school math.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Workplace Safety & EHS Management proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times, be aware of surroundings and understand and comply with Pratt Industries Safety rules, operating procedures, and help hold co-workers responsible for safety related items.
• Participate in Plant Safety Committee.
• Follow at all times GMPs (Good Manufacturing Processes).
• Conduct Safety/Accident Investigations when necessary.
• Help nurture a “Culture of Safety” in the Plant location.
• Responsibility for site Safety/Surveillance video footage.
• Management and control of documents (safety, training).
• Responsible for PAR (Preventive Acton Reports).
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.
