About The Position

Hutch Paving is currently seeking a Safety Manager to lead and support our safety program across multiple construction job sites. This role focuses on jobsite safety, incident investigations, employee training, and maintaining OSHA/MIOSHA compliance. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who can work closely with field crews, supervisors, and leadership to maintain a strong safety culture.

Requirements

• Experience in construction safety preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA/MIOSHA regulations
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• detail-oriented
• Ability to travel to local jobsites as needed

Nice To Haves

• OSHA certifications preferred (OSHA 30+)

Responsibilities

• Investigate jobsite incidents and determine root causes
• Conduct random jobsite safety inspections and correct hazards
• Maintain OSHA/MIOSHA safety compliance and documentation
• Lead safety training, new hire orientation, and weekly toolbox talks
• Track safety metrics, incidents, and training records
• Manage PPE inventory and safety equipment inspections
• Lead monthly safety committee meetings
• Thorough documentation
• Coordinate with insurance representatives and regulatory agencies when needed
