About The Position

The construction safety manager will oversee safety for structural steel contractors at the downtown children's hospital. This is a 1099 contractor role with a duration of 7+ months, starting immediately. The role involves conducting project safety inspections, employee orientations, providing safety training, monitoring worksite employees, enforcing safety protocols, and managing safety-related documentation.

Requirements

• OSHA 30
• 5+ years of construction safety experience
• Structural steel/iron worker safety oversight experience
• Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
• Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
• Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations

Nice To Haves

• OSHA outreach training experience

Responsibilities
