About The Position
This is a full-year contract position for a Safety Manager on an active construction site in New Albany, OH. The role requires immediate contribution without a learning curve, focusing on drywall, framing, and carpentry scopes. The project is fast-paced with multiple crews and has a zero-tolerance policy for shortcuts. The Safety Manager will have full site safety authority and be responsible for fostering a respected safety culture.
Requirements
- OSHA 510 certification (required, non-negotiable)
- 5+ years of construction safety experience
- Framing, drywall, or carpentry background is a strong plus
- Ability to command respect and gain buy-in from trade leads
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
Responsibilities
- Full site safety authority across all trades on-site
- Daily inspections, audits, JHA/AHA reviews
- Toolbox talks, orientations, and hands-on training
- Incident investigations, root cause, and corrective action
- Develop and maintain a safety culture that crews respect
