About The Position
Join a contractor supporting a large-scale data center construction project in New Albany, OH. This role provides hands-on field safety oversight across multiple active scopes of work, including trenching, excavation, concrete construction, site development, and potentially electrical activities. The Field Construction Safety Manager will maintain a strong field presence while working directly with craft personnel, subcontractors, and project supervision to identify hazards, ensure OSHA compliance, and support safe execution of multiple construction activities in a fast-paced data center environment.

- Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience

Responsibilities
- Provide daily field safety oversight across multiple construction scopes
- Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
- Monitor trenching, excavation, concrete, and site development activities
- Support electrical construction activities as project scope progresses
- Conduct routine site inspections, audits, field observations, and hazard assessments
- Monitor heavy equipment and mobile equipment operations
- Verify excavation protective systems, access/egress, spoil placement, and changing site conditions
- Monitor concrete placement, reinforcing, formwork, and related activities
- Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
- Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
- Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
- Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
- Coordinate safety activities with subcontractors, project supervision, and site leadership
- Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
Benefits
- $125/Day Per Diem (7 Days Per Week)
