About The Position

Join a specialty foundation contractor supporting a commercial construction project in Indianapolis, Indiana. This opportunity provides hands-on safety oversight for helical pile installation and foundation construction activities at a major pharmaceutical manufacturing site. This is a short-term project with an immediate start, offering a consistent first-shift schedule.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience
  • Experience supporting foundation, civil, geotechnical, or commercial construction projects
  • Strong field safety presence and hazard recognition skills
  • Experience conducting site inspections and field observations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with contractors, supervision, and client representatives
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
  • Working knowledge of Foundation Construction Safety
  • Working knowledge of Helical Pile Installation Operations
  • Working knowledge of Heavy Equipment Safety
  • Working knowledge of Drilling and Geotechnical Activities
  • Working knowledge of Excavation & Trenching Safety
  • Working knowledge of Utility Awareness & Site Hazard Recognition
  • Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
  • Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
  • Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation
  • Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
  • Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
  • Working knowledge of Pharmaceutical Construction Safety Practices

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily field safety oversight for helical pile installation and foundation activities
  • Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
  • Conduct routine site inspections, observations, and hazard assessments
  • Monitor drilling, pile installation, equipment operation, and material handling activities
  • Support compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
  • Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
  • Work closely with site supervision and the general contractor's safety personnel
  • Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
  • Assist with safety-related communication between stakeholders onsite
  • Participate in incident investigations if required
  • Maintain awareness of changing site conditions and project risks
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
