About The Position

Sheakley is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support a large-scale data center construction project in Haskell, Texas. This is a highly visible, field-focused position with a strong emphasis on electrical construction safety. The Safety Manager will partner with project leadership, contractors, subcontractors, and craft personnel to identify hazards, reinforce safe work practices, and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements. The ideal candidate is a proactive safety professional who is comfortable maintaining a consistent field presence, addressing unsafe conditions in real time, and supporting a fast-paced project with multiple active construction operations.

Requirements

  • Current OSHA 30 certification
  • Minimum five years of construction safety experience
  • Demonstrated experience supporting electrical construction activities
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and jobsite safety practices
  • Experience conducting inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
  • Strong incident investigation, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with project leadership and field personnel
  • Comfortable working approximately 60 hours per week on an active construction site
  • Available to begin the assignment as soon as possible

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting large-scale data center, mission-critical, commercial electrical, or similarly complex construction projects is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily safety oversight across the active data center construction site
  • Monitor electrical construction activities for compliance with applicable safety standards
  • Conduct routine field inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments
  • Identify unsafe conditions and implement timely corrective actions
  • Lead site orientations, toolbox talks, pre-task discussions, and safety training
  • Review work activities for compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific requirements
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, document findings, and track corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and compliance documentation
  • Coordinate with project management, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve safety concerns
  • Reinforce accountability and promote a strong, prevention-focused safety culture
