About The Position
HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety operations on our commercial construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring OSHA compliance, implementing best safety practices, and fostering a culture where every worker goes home safe. As a Safety Manager, you will lead the charge in building a culture where safety is more than a priority — it’s a core value. You will ensure best practices are implemented, compliance standards are met, and every team member goes home safe each day.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years direct construction safety experience required
- CHST or CSP required
- HAZWOPER 24 or 40 required
- Advance knowledge of construction safety standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills
Nice To Haves
- Degree in a safety related field preferred
- OSHA 510 and or 500 a plus
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project ensuring OSHA compliance
- Conduct daily safety meetings
- Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
- Daily safety audits and inspections
- Oversee all subcontractors and contractors
- Oversee Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation
