The Safety Manager ensures that all Haydon job sites remain focused on completing projects in a safe manner. This role involves previewing projects and project sites before work begins to determine safety-related risks, attending kick-off meetings, and educating operations teams on lessons learned from similar projects to mitigate future incidents. The Safety Manager will visit active project sites to assess ongoing work conditions and ensure compliance with established safety policies. They will collaborate with project management teams and field workers to develop and implement solutions to safety-related issues. Key responsibilities include conducting routine safety audits (bi-weekly reviews), carrying out regular safety training programs for employees, investigating accidents to determine causes and develop lessons learned, and inspecting/monitoring daily operations to ensure adherence to safety policies and laws. The role also involves auditing incidents and safety inspections to ensure timely closure of all items, auditing equipment inspection reports for timely repairs, maintaining safety-related reports within the appropriate technology platform, addressing non-compliance with minimum safety standards, and managing the Haydon Craft Safety Voice (HCSV) committee.
