Safety Manager – Aviation & Infrastructure – PA/MD/NJ/DE
About The Position
The Safety Manager is responsible for leading and enforcing safety programs across construction projects to ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, standards, and project requirements. This role oversees site safety performance, conducts audits and investigations, and implements proactive measures to prevent incidents. The Safety Manager works closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and ensure all activities are performed in accordance with OSHA, MWAA, and project-specific safety protocols. Projects may include airport terminal improvements, transportation infrastructure modernization, utility upgrades, transit facilities, roadway improvements, vertical construction, and other public sector capital improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 10 to 15 years of safety management experience in aviation or heavy civil projects
- OSHA 30 required
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, FAA, and airport safety requirements
- Bluebeam Revu
- Microsoft 365
Nice To Haves
- CHST, CSP, or equivalent preferred
- OSHA 500
- CHST or CSP preferred
- Aviation safety experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead safety engineering and inspection activities
- Develop and implement site-specific safety plans
- Conduct audits, investigations, and corrective actions
- Ensure contractor compliance with MWAA and OSHA requirements
- Coordinate with airport operations and stakeholders
- Provide safety training and onboarding
