About The Position

The Construction Safety Manager will oversee safety for electrical safety on a commercial construction project. This is a 1099 contractor position with a duration of 4+ months, starting on May 4th. The role involves conducting routine safety audits, site inspections, and risk assessments, leading incident investigations, and delivering safety orientations and training. The Safety Manager will partner with project management and field teams to proactively identify and mitigate safety risks, maintain accurate safety documentation, and ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements. A key aspect of the role is to promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across all levels of the project team.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30
  • 5+ years of field construction safety experience
  • Strong communication and public speaking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
  • In-depth understanding of EHS principles and construction safety regulations
  • Ability to effectively communicate and enforce safety standards and best practices
  • Familiarity with mechanical construction safety, particularly underground piping operations

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine safety audits, site inspections, and risk assessments across multiple project sites
  • Lead incident investigations, document findings, and implement corrective actions
  • Deliver safety orientations and ongoing training for employees, subcontractors, and new hires
  • Partner with project management and field teams to identify and mitigate safety risks proactively
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, including incident reports, inspections, and compliance records
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements
  • Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across all levels of the project team
