About The Position

As Safety Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the company's overall safety program, ensuring a safe work environment for all employees, and maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards. Your role is essential in fostering a proactive safety culture, preventing workplace incidents, and ensuring operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 5 years of Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Ability to conduct investigations and prepare detailed reports.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.
  • Certification in safety-related programs (OSHA 500, First Aid/CPR, CSP, or similar) is a plus.
  • Experience with Avetta, ISN safety portals

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and enforce company safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all employees are informed of and follow established safety protocols.
  • Ensure all foremen complete daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) sheets.
  • Maintain organized records of JSA sheets for insurance and compliance purposes.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Lead thorough investigations of workplace accidents and near-misses.
  • Provide detailed reports with root cause analysis and preventative recommendations.
  • Organize and conduct safety training sessions, including new hire orientations and ongoing employee safety education.
  • Ensure training records are accurately maintained.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of safety incidents, compliance reports, inspections, and employee training.
  • Promote safety awareness and reinforce a positive safety culture across all departments.
  • Support management in addressing safety concerns or violations reported by employees.
  • Stay informed of updates to OSHA regulations and industry safety standards to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Assist in emergency response planning and coordinate safety drills to ensure readiness.
  • Work closely with HR and management to resolve safety-related issues and support company-wide safety initiatives.
  • Maintain a visible and active presence across worksites.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and drive continuous safety enhancements.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with both leadership and field teams.
