About The Position

As Safety Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the company's overall safety program, ensuring a safe work environment for all employees, and maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards. Your role is essential in fostering a proactive safety culture, preventing workplace incidents, and ensuring operational excellence.

Requirements

5 years of Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and industry best practices.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Ability to conduct investigations and prepare detailed reports.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.
Certification in safety-related programs (OSHA 500, First Aid/CPR, CSP, or similar) is a plus.
Experience with Avetta, ISN safety portals

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and enforce company safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and regulatory requirements.
Ensure all employees are informed of and follow established safety protocols.
Ensure all foremen complete daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) sheets.
Maintain organized records of JSA sheets for insurance and compliance purposes.
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and address potential hazards.
Recommend and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Lead thorough investigations of workplace accidents and near-misses.
Provide detailed reports with root cause analysis and preventative recommendations.
Organize and conduct safety training sessions, including new hire orientations and ongoing employee safety education.
Ensure training records are accurately maintained.
Maintain up-to-date records of safety incidents, compliance reports, inspections, and employee training.
Promote safety awareness and reinforce a positive safety culture across all departments.
Support management in addressing safety concerns or violations reported by employees.
Stay informed of updates to OSHA regulations and industry safety standards to ensure continuous compliance.
Assist in emergency response planning and coordinate safety drills to ensure readiness.
Work closely with HR and management to resolve safety-related issues and support company-wide safety initiatives.
Maintain a visible and active presence across worksites.
Proactively identify areas for improvement and drive continuous safety enhancements.
Communicate clearly and consistently with both leadership and field teams.
