The safety and industrial hygiene professional II is responsible for implementing workplace health, safety, and environmental programs at the care site level. This role applies technical knowledge of workplace safety, industrial hygiene, hazardous waste, ergonomics, fire/life safety, laser safety, indoor air quality, ventilation controls, respiratory protection, bioaerosols, environmental infection control, noise, heat stress, fall protection, confined space, lockout/tagout, blood borne pathogen, laboratory safety, workplace violence, and regulatory compliance. The professional will lead care site level committees, develop and present educational sessions, analyze accident and injury data, implement workplace safety initiatives, and serve as a regulatory liaison. This position requires a high level of independent decision making, expertise, and project management skill.
