About The Position

AECOM Hunt is actively seeking to add a Safety Manager to our large construction project at Chicago's O'Hare airport. Under limited supervision, manages one or more ES&H functions within an ES&H department or group within a subsidiary. May manage the environmental safety and health function(s) on a large project. Is fully competent in most aspects of the job. Work is complex and requires independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Uses independent judgment and provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

Requirements

BA/BS Occupational Safety or related curriculum and 8 years of construction site safety experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Valid US drivers license.
Construction site safety experience.

Nice To Haves

8 years of experience as a construction site safety professional.
Aviation/airport construction safety experience strongly preferred.
OSHA 30-Hour
Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Experience with Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) documents.
OCIP/CSIP experience.
Experience in safety protocol implementation, audit and reporting on a large construction site.
Proficiency in construction site PPE, PPE training, reporting and safety orientation.
