Safety & Health Coordinator
About The Position
Quanex is looking for a Safety & Health Coordinator to join their team in Owatonna, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for completing health and safety inspections of the facility, interacting with the workforce, and assisting with Health, Safety, and Sustainability work and projects at the facility. This position supports both shifts, with standard hours of 11 AM - 7 PM, Monday - Friday, and the ability to flex to swing shifts such as 1 PM to 9 PM as needed. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- OSHA 10 or 30 training preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participate in site planning, developing, and organizing strategic safety plans.
- Assist in coordinating local safety activities, such as safety champion training, development, program management, lockout tagout (LOTO) and machine guarding.
- Conduct health and safety training.
- Coordinate safety shoe program and the hearing conservation program.
- Conduct job safety and hazard analyses of manufacturing equipment.
