Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Science
five (5+) years of exposure to EHS activities within the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry.
OSHA 30 hours certification, General or Construction Industry.
Bilingual (Spanish and English).
Good analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure a safe work environment for workers and site employees.
Ensure OSHA compliance.
Take immediate corrective actions to address unsafe acts, work, and/or conditions.
Ensure all proper work and other permits are being utilized.
Work with construction management teams to prequalify subcontractors.
Maintain records of safety inductions/ orientations.
Daily/Weekly site walks.
Attend/ lead toolbox talks.
Participate actively in Departmental EHS and Construction reviews.
Ensure project activities comply with EHSS policies, local regulations, and client requirements.
Develop site-specific EHSS plans, conduct toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
Inspect areas and identify and correct project opportunities in coordination with the project leader.
Manage permits to work during the projects.
Track EHSS metrics and ensure environmental permitting and waste management compliance where applicable.
