About The Position

The Safety, Environmental, and Regulatory Technician maintains and monitors the Safety, Environmental and Regulatory (SER) Program for a group of MFA facilities in the Centralia, Mexico, and Elsberry, Missouri areas. The technician assists SER Field Specialists and the Safety Coordinator with implementation, monitoring, and record-keeping for the MFA Anhydrous Ammonia Preventative Maintenance Tracking System. The role also includes training facility personnel and field staff and maintaining training documentation. All duties must be performed in accordance with company policy.

Requirements

Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
Basic computer skills, or willingness to develop them.

Nice To Haves

Three years of industry experience in agricultural business; may be substituted with a BS degree.
Public speaking experience.

Responsibilities

Provide safety training for new hires.
Provide ongoing safety training for existing employees.
Record training documentation and training-log information in the Dekra online system.
Ensure employees in the assigned area receive required training in a timely manner.
Assist SER Field Staff with pre-inspections of Anhydrous Ammonia equipment.
Assist DOT Inspectors with VPT documentation after testing is completed.
Complete annual final inspections of Anhydrous Ammonia equipment at assigned MFA facilities.
Conduct facility housekeeping walk-through inspections.
Maintain and monitor the SER Program for assigned facilities.
Assist SER Field Specialists and the Safety Coordinator with implementation, monitoring, and record-keeping for the MFA Anhydrous Ammonia Preventative Maintenance Tracking System.
Train personnel at assigned facilities and field staff, and maintain training documentation.
