About The Position

Uline, Inc. seeks a Safety Engineer in Reno, Nevada to perform safety engineering. This role involves creating and implementing safety policies, conducting facility inspections, providing safety expertise to other departments, developing training programs, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The position requires travel to other Uline offices in Wisconsin and Illinois up to three times per year.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in any field of Engineering
5 years of progressive warehouse safety experience
At least 5 years of experience in creating and implementing safety policies and procedures to minimize workplace hazards
At least 5 years of experience in investigating workplace accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
At least 5 years of experience in operating PIT equipment
At least 5 years of experience in warehouse safety program management
At least 5 years of experience in OSHA and EPA safety and occupational health regulations

Responsibilities

Create and implement safety policies and procedures to minimize workplace hazards.
Perform inspections of facilities and operations to identify potential safety issues and ensure compliance.
Provide guidance and expertise to other departments from a safety engineering perspective.
Develop and deliver training programs on safety procedures, hazard awareness, and emergency response.
Investigate workplace accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Partner with Human Resources to process workers’ compensation claims and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
Ensure that Uline facilities and operations comply with all relevant local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA.
Required travel to other Uline, Inc. offices in Wisconsin and Illinois up to 3 times per year.
