About The Position

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is looking for a motivated Safety Professional who possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and assist in identifying risks that support safety programs at one of the most advanced semiconductor facilities in the United States. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science or Studies, Engineering or Risk Management, with 8-10 years’ experience required.
  • Familiarity with OSHA Regulations (Construction and General Industry) and reporting guidelines
  • Preference for experience in General Industry and Construction at a semiconductor manufacturing (FAB) facility.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree, professional EHS certification such as CSP preferred.
  • Experience working with contractor pre-qualification software such as Highwire, Avetta, ISNetworld or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage safety compliance programs in adherence to federal, state and local regulations.
  • Manage Contractors Safety Management program for contractor pre-qualification, onboarding, high-risk restricted work permit (RWP) oversight, and cross-contractor safety alignment.
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices during task performance at a semiconductor facility.
  • Develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs; and advise and educate others.
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control elements.
  • Evaluation of task performance to ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirements.
  • Document and track results to support safety program elements.
  • Conduct incident investigations, site inspections, identify root cause, determine corrective actions, and support implementation.
  • Conduct employee training for education on site safety requirements.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with safety sub-committee.
  • Review and audit pre-task plans, site risk analyses and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with the daily management of the tiered auditing program including closure of facility’s preventative and corrective action plans.
