About The Position

An Engineer working in the System Safety Engineering group will contribute to a wide variety of projects based on our business needs. The role involves working as an independent contributor alongside team leadership to perform Systems Safety Engineering tasks in support of project objectives. As a System Safety Engineer, you will be part of a team of experienced safety and specialty engineers working on various missile launching system programs. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to analysis and design support efforts for all aspects of the system safety programs, ensuring that safety is integrated into the hardware and software of these products.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent technical discipline
5+ year of experience in system safety engineering
Proficient with MS Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
Experience with Safety Analysis such as SAR/SSHAR/HazMat/Fault Trees/FHA/HTS/SW Safety and/or other elated analysis
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

Experience with executing MIL-STD-882E and/or other relevant industry safety standards
Experience with radar/sonar development, and/or electrical hardware design
Experience with Requirements and Model Based Engineering tools (i.e. DOORS, CAMEO)
Experience in software development tools and methodologies (i.e. Agile, JIRA)
Experience with military/DoD customers

Responsibilities

Analysis and design support for system safety programs.
Requirements analysis, interface analysis, and operations analysis.
System safety test and verification.
Collaboration with senior safety engineers to ensure safety is crafted into products
