About The Position

Hiring Our Heroes Fellowship Opportunities available for CoHort 26.3 (September 8th, 2026 – November 19, 2026) for our Supply Chain Solutions division. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO THOSE ENROLLED IN A “HIRING OUR HEROES FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM” OFFERED TO ACTIVE MILITARY PARTICIPATING THROUGH A MILITARY BRANCH. Requirements

  • Transitioning service member fellows must be within 180 days of transition from military service at the time of the 12-week program
  • Currently participating in DoD Skillbridge program through the Hiring Our Heroes Fellowship
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
  • 2 years or more in Driving various PIT equipment
  • Basic knolwedge of OSHA and warehouse safety practices

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years or more in Training / Leadership background
  • OSHA 30

Responsibilities

  • Develops compliance programs and employee safety management systems for programs/initiatives.
  • Conducts hazard analysis, evaluation, and develops solutions for issues and problems related to employee safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate/facility safety-related occurrence root cause investigations and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Coordinate employee and management SHS training and development needs.
  • Provides day-to-day compliance support to Ryder facilities, including performing facility audits.
  • Support Ryder operations team relative to the leadership of SHS issues.
  • Participate and host vertical-specific training and calls.
  • Develop location safety supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
