About The Position
Assist the Safety Officer/Safety Specialist with campus Safety Health and Environmental (SH&E) support of the Oxford Massachusetts facilities.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of industrial hygiene (IH) and engineering principals
- Understanding of the theory behind machine guarding and lockout/tagout electrical safety
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance laws
- Demonstrates effective communication skills
- Strong training skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Proficient with computer programs
- Exhibits positivity, passion, integrity, and responsibility
Nice To Haves
- Associates degree in SH&E preferred
- Relevant internship experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participate in accident investigation and/or emergency response
- Conduct training in all SH&E topics
- Conduct lab inspections and audits
- Recognize and mitigate hazards
- Participate in and lead emergency responses
- Address employee SH&E concerns
- Assist with SH&E measures, procedures (SOP's) and job assessments
- Sample and monitor using industrial Hygiene methods
