COORD, SAFETY
About The Position
As a Safety Coordinator, you will work directly with Safety Managers and ensure the team is in compliance with operational needs, support business critical matters, and assure regulatory compliance (i.e., OSHA, EPA) within assigned geographies. ESS Support Services Worldwide is a leading provider of comprehensive support services, specializing in food and facility maintenance for clients and their employees both offshore and on remote land sites. Our team consists of culinary professionals, dedicated kitchen support personnel, and hospitality experts committed to delivering unparalleled guest services, supporting every aspect of daily community life for our clients' resident workers -- 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
Requirements
- Frequent Travel Offshore - Valid TWIC Required
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
Nice To Haves
- Food and/or safety experience is preferred.
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
- Supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills are preferred.
- Excellent problem solving, creativity, and training skills.
- Bachelor's degree in food service, safety, nutrition or related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supports efforts of company operations to assure continued attention to safety success.
- Develops and implements new corporate safety policies and procedures.
- Ensures presentation and serving temperatures follow the HACCP standard.
- Provides information related to safety and workers compensation to all levels of management.
- Identifies programs and tools to positively impact safety.
- Investigates accidents as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
