We are looking for a Safety Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will drive a safe work environment through regular inspections, hazard identification, training, and incident investigation, while also supporting the Human Resources team with recruiting, onboarding, and day-to-day associate needs.

Requirements

2-3 years of experience in a safety-related role with HR support responsibilities
Prior supervisory or leadership experience
Thorough understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other local, state, and federal safety regulations
Bilingual in Spanish
Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, follow-up, and analytical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies
Identify potential hazards, perform job hazard analyses, and implement corrective actions or temporary precautions
Deliver new hire safety orientations, safety training sessions, and toolbox talks
Partner with the Fleet team to emphasize accident prevention and ongoing driver safety training
Investigate accidents, near-misses, and injuries to determine root causes and implement preventive measures
Maintain accurate records of inspections, safety training, and accident reports
Develop and implement emergency response procedures and drills
Assist with recruiting efforts and support new hire orientation and training
Provide general HR support to Spanish-speaking associates
