Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Safety Coordinator 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Clearfield, Utah. Safety Coordinator will be responsible for reinforcing site and/or program safety protocols, maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA and Northrop Grumman policies and procedures, monitoring the facility for EHS hazards, and responding accordingly. May be directed as needed to support the sites’ environmental, safety and health operations. Will be required to work nights, weekend and holidays.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years manufacturing or other EHS related experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Valid driver's license

- Experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to work with all levels of personnel, including management and outside vendors and to accurately communicate, document and report
- Basic knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the EHS field

- Industrial hygiene and occupational health monitoring
- Conduct routine safety and health trainings
- Investigate employee health and safety concerns
- Conduct environmental testing and regulatory inspections
- Storm water and industrial wastewater compliance
- Support safety and health programs development
- Review contractor safety compliance
