About The Position

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining all safety programs across the manufacturing facility. This role ensures full compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on manufacturing experience, a proven background in safety leadership, and strong skills in compliance documentation, audits, and training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all safety initiatives across the manufacturing plant, ensuring a proactive safety culture.
  • Maintain full compliance with OSHA, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections, hazard assessments, and job‑specific risk analyses.
  • Manage incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs, including new‑hire orientation, annual refreshers, and job‑specific instruction.
  • Coach supervisors and employees on safe work practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, awareness, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date safety documentation, including OSHA logs, training records, SDS files, and inspection reports.
  • Prepare monthly safety metrics, trend analyses, and executive‑level reporting.
  • Oversee incident reporting, workers’ compensation documentation, and return‑to‑work coordination.
  • Lead the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and standard work instructions.
  • Manage emergency response planning, evacuation procedures, and drills.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to equipment, processes, and facility layout to reduce risk.
