About The Position

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting and enforcing workplace safety programs to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This role plays a critical part in promoting a culture of safety, reducing workplace incidents, and ensuring all employees adhere to established safety standards and procedures.

Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred
2–5 years of safety experience in manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to identify hazards and implement practical solutions
Excellent communication and training skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Nice To Haves

OSHA 30-Hour Certification
First Aid/CPR Certification
CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or ASP (Associate Safety Professional)

Responsibilities

Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements
Maintain and update safety manuals, SOPs, and training material
Conduct new hire safety orientations and ongoing safety training
Coordinate and track required safety training for all employees and contractors
Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness campaigns
Perform routine safety inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas
Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
Track and follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely resolution
Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near-misses
Document findings and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Maintain OSHA logs and internal incident reports
Ensure accurate recordkeeping for OSHA logs, training records, and safety metrics
Assist with regulatory audits and inspections
Prepare safety reports and KPI tracking for leadership
Serve as a point of contact for safety concerns and questions
Promote a proactive safety culture across all departments
Work closely with supervisors to ensure accountability for safety practices
Support contractor onboarding and ensure compliance with site safety requirements
Monitor contractor activities for adherence to safety standards
