About The Position

The role of the Safety Coordinator is to contribute to a safe, supportive, and caring school community, especially through the supervision of students during meals, dismissal, and transitions. Additionally, this role supports serving meals, parent communications, valet (student pick-up), and traffic supervision during After School hours. The hours for this position are 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

Requirements

Previous experience working with students preferred
Bilingual Spanish speaker required
High school diploma or equivalent required
BA or some college preferred
CPR Certification and First Aid Certificate required within 60 days of hire
Current CPR and 1st Aid Certificate within 3 months of employment

Responsibilities

Supervise students during meals, dismissal, and transitions and ensure that they are exhibiting behaviors consistent with Equitas values.
Supervise valet (student drop off/pick-up).
Maintain a safe and structured parking and valet system.
Assist families and guests with alternative parking solutions.
Maintain high expectations for student behavior.
Actively participate in professional development aimed at refining school culture.
Support in the school office with administrative tasks.
Follow policies and procedures for health, safety, and nutrition.
Maintain open lines of communication with staff, families, and other stakeholders.
Assist School Operations Manager and ELOP Manager with special projects.
Complete other tasks as assigned by the Principal, School Operations Manager or ELOP Manager.
