Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed studies related to: Occupational Health & Safety, Business Administration, Human Resources, Construction Management, Environmental or Industrial Programs, or a related field
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office, email systems, and digital documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is considered an asset
  • Standard safety certifications (or willingness to obtain) are considered assets: WHMIS, Occupational First Aid, CSTS / CSO, TDG

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day safety coordination and administrative functions
  • Assist with maintaining safety records, training documentation, and compliance tracking
  • Help coordinate onboarding requirements, orientations, and safety certifications
  • Assist with field and office safety documentation, forms, inspections, and reporting
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and operational communications
  • Support tracking of incidents, corrective actions, and follow-up items
  • Assist with inventory and organization of safety supplies, PPE, and equipment
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety processes and documentation
  • Promote a positive safety culture and professional communication across teams
  • Support cleanliness, organization, and quality control standards within offices, vehicles, yards, and operational workspaces
  • Assist with additional operational and administrative tasks as assigned
