About The Position

Ally Waste Services is seeking a dynamic Safety Coordinator who is fluent in both English and Spanish to join their Safety & Risk team. This role involves leading virtual safety meetings, coordinating insurance claims, and creating bilingual training content. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, an excellent communicator in a virtual environment, and comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish - this is a hard requirement. You'll use both languages every single day.
  • Confident public speaker who can run a meeting, not just sit in one.
  • Exceptionally organized - you manage claims, training records, and multiple virtual workflows all at once.
  • Strong communicator in writing and in person, in both languages.
  • 1+ year in a safety-related role preferred (internships and assistant roles absolutely count).
  • Comfortable with Google Workspace and learning new platforms quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AI content tools like HeyGen or Canva is a plus - or a willingness to learn fast.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 is great to have.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate safety inspections and hazard assessments virtually, and support field teams remotely.
  • Coordinate and track employee safety training; keep records clean and current.
  • Participate in incident investigation and documentation.
  • Monitor PPE usage and availability across teams.
  • Track driver safety performance in Samsara and support corrective action.
  • Stay current on OSHA regulations and communicate requirements clearly to field teams.
  • Plan and lead safety meetings for drivers and employees - toolbox talks, orientations, briefings, department-wide sessions.
  • Deliver bilingual presentations confidently to groups of all sizes.
  • Prepare materials, agendas, and follow-up action items.
  • Be the first point of contact for all insurance claims across workers' compensation, auto liability, and property damage.
  • Gather incident reports, photos, witness statements, and documentation quickly and completely.
  • Communicate with insurance providers and TPAs throughout the claim lifecycle.
  • Track every open claim, hit every deadline, and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Coordinate return-to-work programs with management and medical providers.
  • Create bilingual training videos, infographics, and digital content using AI tools like HeyGen and Canva.
  • Navigate multiple platforms daily: SafetyAmp, Samsara, Google Workspace, Paylocity.
  • Use technology to work smarter, not just harder.
