The Safety & Compliance Manager will support Transportation Safety & Compliance Programs by maintaining and supporting company safety policies, compliance procedures, and transportation safety programs. This role ensures compliance with FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, OSHA standards, Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Regulations, and DOT Drug and Alcohol Regulations. The position involves maintaining audit-ready compliance documentation and records, supporting company-wide safety initiatives to reduce risk and improve operational safety performance, and partnering with operations, dispatch, maintenance, and leadership teams to ensure safe and compliant operations. Additionally, the role manages and monitors safety systems and technology, including ELD, telematics, and in-cab camera systems, reviews safety events and driver scorecards, generates performance reports, supports FMCSA Clearinghouse administration, maintains electronic driver qualification files, and tracks various driver certifications and requirements. The position also involves assisting with Hours-of-Service and ELD compliance, reviewing driver logs, supporting DOT audit preparation, maintaining records related to driver qualifications and fleet permits, assisting with incident investigations and reporting, and supporting driver onboarding and training initiatives.
