About The Position

The Safety & Support Lead serves as the primary point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors during after-school programming. This role helps maintain a safe, welcoming environment by overseeing student release procedures, monitoring campus access, supporting emergency preparedness, and building positive relationships with families and school partners.

Requirements

  • Available to work consistently during after-school hours throughout the school year.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to supporting diverse youth and families.
  • Must pass required background and TB clearances

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish, Chinese, or other languages)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure students are released only to authorized adults and monitor campus entry points.
  • Conduct safety checks and support emergency drills and response procedures.
  • Serve as a welcoming presence for students, families, and visitors.
  • Build positive relationships through responsive communication and excellent customer service.
  • Support daily attendance, sign-in/sign-out procedures, and front desk operations.
  • Assist students who need additional supervision, emotional support, or a break from activities.
  • Participate in program events, trainings, meetings, and other site initiatives
