About The Position

The Safety & Support Lead serves as the primary point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors during after-school programming. This role helps maintain a safe, welcoming environment by overseeing student release procedures, monitoring campus access, supporting emergency preparedness, and building positive relationships with families and school partners.

Requirements

Available to work consistently during after-school hours throughout the school year.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to supporting diverse youth and families.
Must pass required background and TB clearances

Nice To Haves

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
Bilingual skills (Spanish, Chinese, or other languages)

Responsibilities

Ensure students are released only to authorized adults and monitor campus entry points.
Conduct safety checks and support emergency drills and response procedures.
Serve as a welcoming presence for students, families, and visitors.
Build positive relationships through responsive communication and excellent customer service.
Support daily attendance, sign-in/sign-out procedures, and front desk operations.
Assist students who need additional supervision, emotional support, or a break from activities.
Participate in program events, trainings, meetings, and other site initiatives
