About The Position

The Safety and Security Representative provides critical support to direct care teams by helping maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for patients receiving behavioral health services. This role works directly with youth and adults, assisting with supervision, engagement, crisis response, and daily operations while modeling positive behavior and effective problem-solving skills. Safety and Security Representatives help ensure each patient is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect while supporting individualized treatment goals developed by interdisciplinary care teams. Every shift creates opportunities to help de-escalate challenging situations, support individuals experiencing behavioral health crises, build positive relationships with patients, create a safe and therapeutic environment, serve as a steady, calming presence during difficult moments, and work alongside professionals dedicated to trauma-informed care. This is not a traditional security position. This is a people-centered role focused on safety, engagement, support, and compassionate care.
