Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on training experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with strong emphasis on safety and process training.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop training content, analyze JHAs, and deliver effective training sessions.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills and intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to engage and train employees on the manufacturing floor, as well as collaborate effectively with supervisors and management.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Training & Development, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry, Train-the-Trainer certification, or equivalent.
  • Experience conducting Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), developing process and tool-use training, and performing training needs assessments.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience with EHS program delivery, adult learning principles, and training record management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, update, and deliver EHS, process, and tool-specific training programs (classroom, hands-on, and digital formats).
  • Publicly speak and facilitate training sessions with clarity, confidence, and engagement for groups of all sizes.
  • Develop clear training materials, job aids, presentations, and visual aids.
  • Analyze Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to create or revise targeted training content.
  • Create a daily, weekly, and monthly training plan, review progress with the Trainer Supervisor.
  • Communicate and distribute training topics, schedules, and updates via email and posted materials.
  • Conduct new-hire safety and process onboarding training.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by the Training supervisor or management team.
  • Partner with Supervisors and Leads to identify training gaps and ensure all employees receive proper training on tools, processes, and safe job performance.
  • Maintain strong verbal and written communication with Production Supervisors regarding training completion and needs.
  • Work with teams to update and adjust training content as processes, tools, or safety protocols change.
  • Collaborate on the creation or revision of JHA-based training and maintain accurate training records.
  • Support daily morning safety briefings and reinforce key training points with employees.
  • Remain safety-alert, proactive, and open to constant change while driving a strong safety and quality culture.
  • Stay current with all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Observe operations and provide real-time coaching to reinforce safe behaviors and proper tool use.
  • Ensure all employees demonstrate competency in required training before working independently.
  • Follow up with Supervisors on training completion and effectiveness.
  • Maintain a safe conduct at all times and model best practices.
