About The Position

TransTech Energy is seeking a passionate and experienced Safety and Continuous Improvement Manager to join their operations team. This role will champion the "Goal Zero" safety culture across fabrication facilities in Beaumont and Houston, Texas. The manager will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by implementing, enforcing, and standardizing safety programs, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Safety Manager in a manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, particularly CFR 1926.
  • Experience implementing and managing safety programs in a multi-location setting.
  • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant safety certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Champion the "Goal Zero" Safety Culture, fostering a proactive safety mindset among all employees.
  • Develop, implement, and standardize safety programs across both locations.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to share best practices and reinforce safety protocols.
  • Perform risk assessments, site inspections, and incident investigations, ensuring thorough documentation and reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA CFR 1926, Stormwater, and VOC monitoring.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes, updating safety policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Act as a safety advocate, providing guidance and support to employees on safety-related concerns.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to safety in all actions and decisions.
  • Conduct 6S audits to identify areas for improvement in workplace organization and efficiency.
  • Analyze operational processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational effectiveness.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects, utilizing Lean Manufacturing and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of continuous improvement initiatives.
