About The Position

The Safety Lead & Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance. This role maintains and implements safety programs, training, and ensures operational improvements utilizing lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, employee engagement, and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

Experience leading Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Strong knowledge of production, planning, quality, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience collaborating with teams in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Project management
Tracking and analysis

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
OSHA 10 and 30
First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR training

Responsibilities

Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies (OSHA, WA State, etc).
Lead safety investigations for incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and facilitate corrective action.
Maintain safety schedule including any regular or required audits as well as training timelines.
Facilitate safety training for new and current employees.
Maintain Safety Data Sheet information.
Run monthly safety committee meetings.
Drive process standardization and best-practice sharing across departments and the corporation.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to meet operational goals.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and profitability and lead these improvement projects.
Maintain and organize standard operating procedures.
Analyze trends and initiatives to ensure adherence and effectiveness.
