About The Position

Mister Sparky is expanding and seeking a high-energy, customer-focused Electrical Sales Specialist (Safety Advisor) to join their growing team. This role involves building rapport with homeowners, educating clients on electrical safety, and closing high-ticket residential solutions. The position focuses on meeting with warm leads for electrical needs such as panel upgrades, generator installs, or major rewires, supported by a nationally recognized brand. The role involves in-home consultations, presenting multi-option solutions, selling upgrades, using ServiceTitan on an iPad for estimates, collaborating with service electricians, and following up on proposals. The company emphasizes performance-based pay with an uncapped commission structure, tech-forward sales tools, steady year-round work, and provides a branded company vehicle, iPad, uniforms, and continuous training.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of successful in-home sales experience (residential trades, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, or electrical preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of residential electrical systems (understanding the trade is required, but a licensed electrician is not necessary).
  • ServiceTitan experience is a strong plus (or high adaptability to modern iPad software).
  • Proven track record of closing high-ticket residential projects.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Excellent presentation skills, clean appearance, and strong self-motivation.
  • 3+ years of residential electrician experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to clients about issues and provide accurate solutions.
  • Must have local and state licenses as needed.

  • ServiceTitan experience is a strong plus (or high adaptability to modern iPad software).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough electrical safety evaluations and present clear, multi-option solutions to homeowners.
  • Sell panel upgrades, whole-home rewires, EV chargers, generator systems, and service enhancements.
  • Use ServiceTitan on an iPad to quickly build professional, visual estimate options and process orders on the spot.
  • Partner with service electricians on turnover calls to convert diagnostic visits into system upgrades.
  • Maintain strong relationships and follow up on pending proposals to maximize conversion rates.
  • Perform and coordinate the installation and service of electrical products and services in a residential and light commercial setting.
  • Determine the general condition of all electrical equipment, troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, and determine the extent of necessary repairs.
  • Work with and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, and job specifications.
  • Identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing repair projects.
  • Use the Straight Forward Pricing Guide, accurately present repair or installation options, and complete safety inspections.
