We have an immediate need for a full-time Safety Advisor who will support field safety excellence across job sites, service activities, and project operations. This intermediate-level position works closely with field teams, project managers, supervisors, and Corporate Safety to identify hazards, strengthen safe work practices, and help ensure safe execution of work in dynamic field environments. Candidates for this position may be required to pass pre-employment and periodic screenings, including background checks, drug and alcohol tests, or other necessary assessments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Safety and Health or related field
  • 2–5 years in a safety role supporting field operations, industrial service, or similar high-hazard work environments
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety regulations, including OSHA requirements applicable to field activities
  • Ability to build credibility with field employees and supervisors and provide practical, solutions-oriented safety support
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver in-person training and conduct effective field coaching
  • Strong organizational and computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite and safety documentation tracking
  • Ability to speak and write in English at a proficient or higher level
  • Willingness to travel regularly to support field locations and project sites
  • Potential travel up to 50%

Nice To Haves

  • Lead the implementation of a corporate program (e.g., training course, outside vendor management, review of construction safety plans)
  • Audit job hazard analysis for common hazards. Identify common issues that arise and determine current program needs. In consultation with the VP of Safety and Insurance, develop programs to address these hazards.
  • Experience managing workers' compensation and auto liability insurance claims.
  • Experience supporting field construction, industrial service, commissioning, or installation activities
  • Experience conducting field-based risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
  • OSHA 500, OSHA 510, or similar safety training credentials
  • HAZWOPER training or other relevant field safety certifications
  • CSP, GSP, ASP, CHST, or similar accreditation

Responsibilities

  • Partner with field teams, supervisors, and project managers to build and sustain a strong safety culture across active job sites and service locations
  • Conduct field visits, site observations, and safety audits to identify hazards, verify compliance, and support corrective actions
  • Support pre-job planning, job hazard analysis, and site-specific safety planning for field work involving employees, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Assist with incident reporting, field investigations, trend tracking, and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence
  • Help ensure compliance with OSHA, client requirements, and internal safety standards across field operations
  • Support delivery of safety training, toolbox talks, and field communications to reinforce expectations and safe behaviors
  • Maintain documentation related to inspections, incidents, corrective actions, and field compliance activities
  • Assist with access requirements such as drug testing, background screening, and client site onboarding for field personnel
  • Interact with regulatory agencies, clients, and internal stakeholders as needed regarding field safety matters, audits, incidents, and site requirements
