About The Position

Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm providing end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets. Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad. Saber Power Services seeks a professional, dedicated individual with a positive outlook for a Safety Advisor opening in the Gulf Coast. This position is remote and requires the ability and willingness to travel and work at project sites for extended periods of time based on business and client needs.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926, NFPA, and other industry specific regulations.
  • Ability to report to work for differing shifts or be called-in when needed.
  • Strong organizational and document management skills a must.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain effectiveness with multiple priorities.
  • Professional demeanor; remain calm and emotionally controlled under pressure.
  • Positive attitude and understanding of differing opinions.
  • Problem solver who finds a solution to satisfy all parties involved.
  • Detailed oriented and high attention to accuracy.
  • Comfortable working in a field/project environment
  • Ability to speak to small and large groups of people in the field or office.
  • Demonstrated Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving history.
  • Specific documented evidence of training and experience to satisfy qualifications.
  • Ability to gain access to secure facilities (TWIC and Gov. Security Clearance).
  • Able to gain access to customer sites, no past history of removal for cause or infractions.

  • Electrical knowledge and/or experience is highly desired.
  • Professional certifications desired.
  • Experienced Equipment Trainer (Forklift/Aerial Left/ etc.) desired.
  • Bi-Lingual (speaking/writing) English/Spanish desired.
  • Plant/Construction experience desired.
  • Strong mathematical, writing, speaking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Direct safety resource to the field team.
  • Perform observations, audits, assessments, coaching, training, emergency response, incident response and investigations to ensure the safety program is effectively implemented and functioning properly to protect our employees, clients and all others who perform work on our project locations and facilities.
  • Participate in root cause analysis, development of safety programs and procedures, ensures compliance with customer programs and policies, and other tasks directed by the HSE Manager, Project Manager, or Project Superintendent.
  • Safety program implementation, compliance, and maintenance.
  • Conducts investigations and identifies immediate corrective actions.
  • Participate in pre-job hazard analysis and meetings.
  • Prevention of occupational illness, injury, regulatory and safety program violations.
  • Ensure that all field employees are properly trained for the tasks they are assigned.
  • Work with project management team to identify project/field risks and implement controls.
  • Provide feedback to management relative to project/field safety compliance.
  • Provide safety training to employees as directed by management.
  • Implement and monitor Client and Corporate Safety Program, Procedures and Policies
  • Identifies/mitigates existing and potential employee/public safety concerns.
  • Performs Field Safety Audits, Observations, Assessments, and Investigations
  • Coaching, Training, and Evaluation of employees.
  • Emergency and Incident Response.
  • Interfaces with customer on safety issues and properly elevates issues to management.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.
